HEARTS OF OAK MAKES A SIGNING

Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of defender Seth Owusu, the player has confirmed.
The 21-year-old who joins from fellow Premier League club Medeama thus becomes the first major signing of the Phobians this offseason.
Owusu’s capture signifies the beginning of outlined confirmed signings to be announced by the club which the fans so crave for.
There have been mounting agitation amongst the Phobian fraternity over the lack of transfer activity as compared to rival clubs.
Therefore the ex Tarkwa Real United player’s capture goes a long way to ease pressure on management.
Owusu however believes he has made the best possible decision to join Hearts after several consultations with club officials.
“I can confirm to you that I have joined Accra Hearts of Oak and I want to thank God for that,” he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.
“I met Fred Crentsil (CEO) and Togbe Afede (Board Chairman) after which I decided to sign for Hearts.
“I had a decision to make and I chose to sign for Hearts because I think it will best serve my interest.
“I am happy to have signed for the club and therefore God willing, when the new season starts I will be in action for Hearts.”
Owusu spent part of last season in the US with Chivas.
