We will investigate attack on Ghana, says the Zambian FA

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has started an investigation into the suspected assault of some members of the Black Stars playing body after last Saturday’s World Cup Qualifier between Ghana and Zambia in Ndola, Zambia which the Chipolopolos defeated the Black stars by 1-0.

Reports after the match did indicate that some members of the Ghana team; Sulley Muntari, Derek Boateng and Ben Acheampong had been manhandled by the Zambian police after the referee’s final whistle.

But the authorities in Zambia as expected have taken steps to address the alleged incidents after the match.

Speaking on the Ultimate Sports show on Asempa Fm on Monday, the Spokesperson for the FAZ, Eric Mwanza said his outfit has taken measures to address the matter.

According to him, the Zambian FA have requested for tapes on the match from the national television station and have also implored on any private individual who has a tape covering those incidents to submit it to them. He therefore called on those who are pointing accusing fingers to the Zambian Police to hold their fire until the investigations are over.

The two football bodies have also met on how to solve the issue amicably, he added. In a related issue, Mwanza declined to comment on the performance of the match officials since he claims it is the policy of the FAZ not to comment on officiating.

"We are happy for winning the game against Ghana and we hope to continue from here and ensure that we qualify for the 2014 World Cup". he added.

ANOTHER GHANAIAN ARTISTE ARRESTED OVER COCAINE

Some big shots in the entertainment Industry have tasted the wrath of the law after they were arrested for trying to smuggle pellets of cocaine outside the country.

According to rumors circulating on the internet, controversial musician and comedian A-Plus, have allegedly been arrested in New York for possessing illegal drugs suspected to be cocaine.

If the above is anything to go by, then all is not well with the country’s Entertainment Industry as the arrest could be a serious indictment on professionals in the industry and to the country’s immigration.

Word going round on Facebook reads “Another musician arrested for drugs in America...This is an embarrassment to the entertainment industry”.

Information from sources indicates that the musician was picked up by New York police in a Bronx Hotel. Several calls placed to his phones didn’t go through as the phones were switched off.

When Dada Halfco was contacted, a member of the rap duo Mframa, a close confidant of A-Plus, he said he is aware of the rumor but yet to ascertain its truthfulness.

He said that, A-Plus left the country on Friday but has since not called or contacted him in anyway which is a bit worrying to him. He went on to say that they are doing everything possible to contact A-Plus himself or family and friends for information about his where about.

Meanwhile a close friend to the musician (name withheld) has informed us that they are very much aware of his where about and it’s a very worrying and unfortunate situation.

A-Plus is well noted for his use of music to criticize politically incorrect systems and happenings in Ghana. He is well respected for his distinctive and unique brand as a voice for the voiceless in both political and social aspects
