I am very proud of Cwesi Oteng- Herty Borngreat

Herty BorngreatGhana’s Gospel Artiste of the Year Herty Bongreat, currently making waves with her ‘Stronger’ track, says she is overwhelmed with joy because her colleague gospel artiste, Cwesi Oteng, was adjudged the Artiste of the Year, West Africa at the 2013 Africa Gospel Music Awards (AGMA).

“Cwesi is like a brother to me and I am grateful to God for giving him the award. It is a major encouragement to our industry as gospel singers and we must all celebrate him.

His award encourages us all to continue to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through music and I am very proud of him,” Herty told NEWS-ONE.

Indeed, Cwesi Oteng himself had re-tweeted a congratulatory tweet on his Tweet page from Herty moments after the win was announced on July 6.

Cwesi, after re-tweeting the congratulations from Herty tweeted back at her to thank her.

The development between Herty and Cwesi is of a major significance considering the fact that a section of the media recently churned out publications that suggested the two were at loggerheads after Herty won Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards.

But Cwesi was quick to deny the contents of the publication and prove with evidence that he was one of the first persons to congratulate Herty over her award.

Herty also followed up with a surprise visit to Cwesi’s management at BBnZ to show her award plaques to them and hold talks to further strengthen their bond.

“That is what all this should be. We are all servants with one master which is Jesus Christ.

We must show that genuine love exists among us before we would have the clean conscience to preach the love of Christ to the world,” Herty explained.

Herty Bongreat is currently promoting her new single, ‘Stronger’ also known as ‘People Dey Wonder’. Inspiration for the ‘Stronger’ track was taken from Isaiah 40:31 which reads, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
