Kenedy Agyapong goes wild on his party(NPP)

NPP Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Agyapong has revealed that he hired over 1,000 thugs to protect ballot boxes in the heat of the 2008 general election run-off.

On a leaked tape intercepted by Radio XYZ, Kennedy Agyapong is heard expressing his disgust about the incessant attacks on his personality despite the many contributions and sacrifices he has made for the party.

The tape comes at a time the President and the nation’s security agencies are under severe pressure to arrest the National Organizer of the NDC, Yaw Boateng Gyan who was heard plotting to infiltrate the National security with NDC foot soldiers.

In the new leaked tape by Kennedy Agyapong, he said he employed the services of the thugs upon the advice of the then Defense Minister, Kan Dapaah.

“It got to a time when the security had broken down in this country and so in the second round, I was taken to the Ashanti Region and we met with the Regional Police Commander. When we got back, the Minister of Defense, Kan Dapaah told me we shouldn’t have even gone to them because the security has broken down and we don’t need to trust them. I was really sad for a Minister of Defense telling me this” Mr. Agyapong said.

The NPP firebrand added that “I further asked him, what are we going to do and he told me to hire some macho men to protect our ballot boxes and so I had to get about 1,000 macho men for Ashanti Region to protect our ballot boxes”.

Mr. Agyapong stated categorically that he would not be active during this year’s election to get Nana Addo elected as President due to the vilification and ungratefulness shown by some members of the NPP.

He confirmed that he would only confine himself to his constituency and would not do anything extraordinary to help NPP wrestle power from the ruling NDC.

“I took things to myself but I can assure you I will not be very, very active because of the insults on me and Nana Addo that he has no chance to win power. The party belongs to some people and they have made it clear to us that the party belongs to them so they should bring money for us to do the campaign for this year.

“I am only going to restrict myself to my constituency. What I have to do is bring my constituency on board. I am telling you the unity talk is just fake talk and listen I don’t need anybody in my life to unite the NPP but I won’t say anything…the kind of insults they have reined on me, the kind of money I have spent on the party…not even Jesus Christ can heal me from the kind of pains I have for these people”.

Kennedy Agyapong who was recently arrested for allegedly making genocidal comments stated that he is not ready to take care of the NPP since he has not even finished taking care of his own family.
