Dalian Aerbin lead race to sign Stephen Appiah


Ambitious Chinese club Dalian Aerbin are leading the race to sign former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah who has not renewed his contract with Serbian side FK Vojvodina.

The former Fenerbahce midfielder recently told the Graphic Sports that he will not rule out a move to China, which is fast becoming the "ending" point of most African stars who have previously excelled in Europe.
Exclusive reports reaching Goal.com Ghana indicate that the Asian side, which has Black Stars defender Lee Addy in their fold are ready to offer Appiah a US$ 800,000 a year contract which will make him the clubs highest paid player.Meanwhile, Appiah who has also featured for clubs including Udinese, Parma, Brescia, Juventus and Cesena is eagerly waiting for Vojvodina to bring a much improved offer.
